Suffolk County Police are looking to identify a man seen on surveillance camera they say tried to cash checks that were made out to other people in East Northport and Southampton.

Suffolk County Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the alleged thief who is wanted for grand larceny. 

He is accused of attempting to cash a check issued to another person at People’s United Bank inside Stop and Shop at 454 Fort Salonga Road in East Northport, at approximately 5 p.m. on April 29. 

The man is also being investigated by Southampton Town Police for an alleged similar incident at People’s United Savings Bank inside Stop and Shop at 194 West Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
